About CreatingCrystals
Where do I begin?
The end of 2014 going into 2015, I began my jewelry journey by making necklaces and pendants with only 28g craft wire and random tumbled stones I would find around. I had an admiration for the energy of stones. Studying spirituality, energy and everything in between, I just really became fascinated with it all. During this time, I really didn't know where my path was leading and jewelry, art, and gemstones were my real outlet. I started college in the Fine Arts field, not really knowing where I wanted to go. I went through ups and downs to figure out where I wanted to go in life... and stumbled upon my secret love for Architecture. I knew I always loved the history of Architecture and Interior Design. I knew ever since I went to the Victorian Hall of the MET in New York City where I just cried over the beauty of it all. I knew that was the path I wanted to take!
For the past few years, my jewelry hobby started becoming into an actual side hustle. I enjoyed jewelry and I enjoyed selling to people who loved my artwork. I had multiple names for my little creations, starting with Crystals by Crystal and instantly landing on Creating Crystals, which has been the name for the last couple of years. As my love for design grew, so did the realization of having to continue schooling and figuring out my lives purpose. I picked up and left the East Coast to continue my Interior Architecture degree in San Diego, California.
In 2020, Creating Crystals officially became registered as a business. This hobby of mine no longer was just that, and became so much more. During the 2020 pandemic, my little business was tested with months of silence and then weeks of sales. I felt the pressure of competition, imposter syndrome and really the stress of maintaining a true passion. Going into 2021, I found that I needed to really find myself, and since design was all I think about 24/7, I wanted to combine my two passions!
The pieces that Creating Crystals produce are one of a kind. They show my love of design by referencing details found around the world in architecture and interior design, as well as following trends to create pieces for every person to show their own personal style.
Follow along my jewelry journey on Instagram and Facebook @creatingcrystals as well as joining my newsletter where I occasionally post about new releases, new pieces, pieces of the day and sales!
I'm really excited to be sharing this rebranding with you, and sharing the love I have for design through my handmade pieces that are either soldered with 14kt Gold Fill or Sterling Silver, or hand wrapped in wire!
